Vision, mission, values
People In Aid’s vision is of a world in which organisations work effectively to eradicate poverty and reduce suffering.
Our mission is to promote, support and recognise good practice in the management of aid personnel.
To achieve this mission we offer four services, intended to improve human resource management in the relief and development sector throughout the world:
- maintain a dynamic standard of human resource management in the Code of Good Practice;
- promote good practice in human resource management within the People In Aid network, and beyond;
- provide a range of resources to improve and build capacity in human resource management;
- provide recognition of achievements in good practice.
We work to
values which reflect those of our members and focus on people. These values inspire us to be open and fair, to encourage creativity and effectiveness and to work with integrity and compassion.
A leading expert in the field of Human Resources Management, People In Aid has also offered an institutional model and approach with inter-agency trust, collaboration and scrutiny at its center. An inspiration for us all.
